Effects of different interval-training programs on cycling time-trial performance.
- The paper compares the effect of 3 weeks of various interval session to the 40k TT performance.
- It is not "low-cadence" training.
- "8x4 min at 85% PP" and "12x30 s at 175% PP" have nearly same effect (2.4 or 2.8% in 3weeks).
- Interval training with work bouts close to race-pace enhance 1-h endurance performance; work bouts at much higher intensity also appear to improve performance, possibly by a different mechanism.
- These rates are nearly same as the rate for the SFR (low-cadence) session in this paper.
So, SFR(low-cadence) training has no "additional" effect for 40k TT performance??
